Since it was established in 1987, Amman Valley Enterprise has come a very long way. Five local women started AVE with the vision of making a difference in their community. AVE has touched the lives and made a difference for literally thousands of people.

What is AVE?

AVE is a non-profit, community-based organization delivering services for the benefit of the community combining education and training, community development and social enterprise.

People working in Partnership have made AVE the success it is.

Staff who, by their commitment, ensure the effective delivery and development of our services.

Volunteers who give freely of their time and energy to support AVE and its enterprises.

Students who confirm AVE's belief that to develop communities, you have to develop people.

Customers who use and support the community businesses.

Funders, Supporters and Sponsors without whom we could not deliver our services or continue to respond to community needs.

Without question, our strength is our people.

Reconciling community and business needs.

The challenge that AVE faces, as a community enterprise, is how to provide services that the community needs with the necessity to run self-sustaining initiatives. Reconciling the needs of the community with the needs of business is not always easy but experience has taught us to be innovative in our approach to resolving and resourcing this situation.

Success for AVE has not come about without its disappointments but our vision of enriching and enhancing the community in which we live and work has always remained and will continue to do so.
